Guantanamo Baywatch started about four years ago by founding members Jason Powell and Chevelle Wisemen in Portland, and the band’s work immediately was well-received. But with the addition of drummer, Chris Michael, the band’s sound expanded. Christ Crawl, the band’s second album reportedly has the band incorporated 50s rock ‘n roll, along with their previous punk rock influences of the Cramps and others. “Sad Over You,” sounds a bit like Roy Orbison being covered by a sleazy, blues bar band. But the sentiment behind the song will be familiar to anyone who’s been heartbroken.
