Young Governor — er Young Guv is the side project of Fucked Up’s guitarist Ben Cook. Since he started the project back in 2009, Cook has released 11 singles and two EPs worth of material. On his latest 12,” A Love Too Strong, Young Governor/Cook teams up with Toronto’s the Skuzz, which will be released by the Oakland, CA-based label Southpaw Records. “Heal Over Time” is the first single from that effort is a rousing, power pop confection, and it’s incredibly catchy — while possessing a rather sincere sentiment.
