Will Magid is a San Francisco-based multi-instrumentalist and producer who has worked with Solomon Burke, DIshwalla, Afrolicious and others. His latest album, Midnight High which Happy Rabbit Music released today, reveals Magid’s deep roots in jazz, electronic dance music, and other musical traditions across the world. “Brown Paper Bag” is the first single from that effort and it reminds me a lot of Kelly Pratt’s Bright Moments project — it has a certain sweet-natured worldly quality.
