Greg and Darrin Bresnitz, the identical twin duo popularly known as Finger on the Pulse host a weekly radio show by the name of Snacky Tunes which is not only broadcast by the Heritage Radio Network, it’s recorded in the backyard of Brooklyn restaurant Roberta’s. On June 26th, they’ll be releasing the second compilation album of live performances from their show — most are from professional musicians but this one interestingly enough, features Chef Marc Vetri, who runs a family of Italian restaurants in Philadelphia on vocals and Phil Roy, a singer/songwriter on guitar, who’s had his work covered by the legendary Ray Charles and Los Lonely Boys. It’s old school soul along the lines of the great Bill Withers and others. (Because of it’s culinary connection, this is probably one of the rare if not only songs I’ll ever post that appeared on Bon Appetit)
