RCRD LBL premiered “The Art of Losses” from their forthcoming release, The Art of Losses by Seattle-based outfit the Blakes recently, and I have to admit that I love this track’s moody feel — it reminds me a little bit of Interpol and of the Jesus and Mary Chain, actually.
The band recently announced two NYC-area dates in anticipation of their new album, a July 26th stop at Piano’s, and a a July 27th stop at the Saint in Ashbury Park, NJ. You can also expect John Richards of KEXP 90.3FM to interview the band on the 26th at noon eastern time to a worldwide audience.
