The Mommyheads have had a rather interesting career trajectory. In 1989 they had glowing promise followed by a crushing disappointment after dealing with a major label in the late 90s — a typical story for a lot of bands, before they split up. Four years ago, the band got back together and have reached something of a creative pinnacle as they have been unencumbered with the major label industry. Vulnerable Boy is the band’s latest effort which dropped yesterday and it seems to be one of their most complex, and utterly beautiful efforts to date. Check out “Medicine Show,” from the album.
