St. Lucia’s debut, self-titled EP came out earlier this year and was fairly well received within the blogosphere and publications like The New Yorker, Vice Magazine’s Noisey, NYLON Magazine. So in light of that, he’ll be releasing a follow up titled, September which Neon Gold/Columbia Records will drop in — well, September; September 25th to be exact. “September,” is the first single from that EP and the title track — duh! — and it reminds me a lot of one of the better tracks from Cut Copy’s last album, Zonoscope mixed with Yaz. We’re talking about slick synths, big beats, and St. Lucia singing in a sugary sweet falsetto. Also check out the harmonies throughout. It’s just a great song that I haven’t gotten out of my head.
Lucia - Septembe3r...i’d be surprised if it’s not...someones...
