Los Angeles-based band, the Lonely Wild just recently played their 100th show as a band, and it turned out that it also marked the last night of their residency at the Satellite. As they were approaching their 100th show, the folks at Two Fish Films shot this live footage of the band performing “Banks and Ballrooms,” off their forthcoming album, The Sun As It Comes. From this song, it’s apparent that they’ve retained their brooding, cinematic quality but that the material has become much more politically charged. Some of the lyrics capture the current political sentiment with the same sense of unease that a great deal of people have felt over the last couple of years.
